Married Grace (Croucher) the father of Phyllis Helena (Cook) and Rose Grace.  Member of 24th Kent Regt. Attestation: 7/03/1916 at Chatham, ON. to 186th Bn.

Served one year, 5 mos. with the 24th Kent Regt. Attestation 3/003/16.

William contracted influenza – 7/02/18  27/12/18: – Joined in the 27th Bn. from hospital 27/12/18. Sentenced to five days pay for WORS absent from duty after being duly warned from 2100 hrs. until apprehended at 27:20 hrs. 18/02/19 1 ½ hrs. a comrade performed the duty. Forfiet 1 day. 10/04/18 WITH THE 27TH – Awarded G.C. Badge.  7/04/19 – Proceeded to England. 

4/01/19 to the 27th Bn. joined from hospital 27/12/18. Epididymitis – VDG
