Private William G. Campbell was transferred from the 91st. to the 186th. Battalion, going overseas March 26th, 1917. He proceeded to France about August 15th, 1917, attached to the 18th. Battalion and remained with that unit until they returned to Canada.

Served with 186th 0/S. not the 91st Bn.(Canada) OS. . 6/12/15. Served in England and France.

4/01/19 AWL from 21:00 and returned under escort 18th Bn. 6/02/19 – 18th Bn. Court Martial – “In confinement awaiting trial from 9/01/1919. Tried abd convicted by F.G.G. M. 27/01/19 of “When on active service, absent without leave from 21:00 hrs. 26/12/18 until 08:00 hours 9/01/19 (13 days & 11 hours). Finding: Guilty. Sentenced to 21 days F.P. No.1 – Sentence confirmed by G.O.C. – 4TH CDN 18TH BN 6/02/19. Forfeits 14 days pay under F & A.  4ARV. 1919 – Proceeded to England 4 ARV 1919 from Liverpool 11/05/19. 13/05/19 at Canada – Witley.    

Discharged at London May 24th, 1919 due to Demobilisation.
