Campbell, C. Robert

 

The son of Mr. and Mrs. George Campbell of Merlin, Kent Co., ON. Prior to his enlistment he was employed at the Ford Motor Co., in Windsor, ON, previously employed with Libbys for seven years before moving to Windsor.

Robert trained at Brandon MB., University of Toronto, Belleville and Crumlin. He was later posted to Rivers MB.  The CDN 31/12/43 reported that LAC Campbell had been home on a five day furlough with his Mrs. Campbell in Chatham.     

In service two years and eight months. Promoted from AC2 to Flying Officer. Was a navigation Instructor. Served in Canada.

The CDN 12/02/44 reported that Robert graduated as a pilot Officer at Crumlin. His wife Ruby,  along with friends attended the Wings ceremony..

Discharged October 11th, 1945.
