private Charles Arthur Burrows left for overseas June 25th, 1916 with the 91st. Battalion, and proceeded to France September 14th, 1916, to the 2nd. Canadian Battalion. He was wounded April 4th, 1917, was admitted to the 13th. Stationary Hospital, transferred to Cambridge Hospital, Aldershot, and later to Bearwood Park Canadian Hospital. He reported to the 3rd.C.C,D.; trained with the 6th. Reserve Battalion and again crossed to France April 10th 1918. He was admitted to the 14th. Canadian Stationary Hospital, France, June 22nd, 1918, suffering with Diphtheria, and four weeks later transferred to the 1st. Northern Hospital, Birmingham. He reported to the 3rd. C.C.D Seaford, then to the 6th. Reserve, Seaford, transferred with this Battalion to Witley for demobilisation. He sailed for Canada December 12th, 1918, on the Regins, arriving at Halifax December 20th, 1918.
Private Charles Arthur Burrows received his discharge February 13th, 1919, being medically unfit for further military service.
