The son of Archie and Violet Burrell of 128 Joseph St. Chatham, ON.  A former carrier with the Daily News. The brother of Headley A.  He joined the RCAF as a wireless electric mechanic. He had departed for Toronto where he will pursue a six month course at the Central Technical School.    

In the service for three years, two of which were spent overseas.

Don had returned to Toronto after the Easter weekend at home with his parents.

Training at Number 1 Wireless School in Montreal, he was reported to have graduated  and had taken up his duties at number 17 S.F.T.S. Manitoba. CDN 1/05/44. The CDN Aug. 44, reported Don was home from Souris, MB. to spend his furlough with his parents.

The CDN 27/12/44 reported that Donald of No.17 S.F.T.S at Sourls, MB., was visiting his parents over the Christmas week-end 1944.

Donald was discharged 9/04/46.
