Jake was from Wheatley and enlisted with the Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve, and was a gunner on a merchant ship. DEMS [Defensively Equipped Merchant Ships]. Sailing on every ocean, he was a shipmate of Pete Beleutz also from Wheatley. He died Jan. 8 2018.
