In service eighteen months. Graduated as a Paratrooper in the Air Force, and after VJ Day transferred to the Army.

LAC William Burness was reported home from Toronto on a week-end leave to visit his parents.

Discharged December 1946.

William passed away 17 December, 2007  at the age of 82 years.
