Unit # 149th Bat.

Regimental number: 844143 and 3140207. Source: RG 150, Accession 1992-93 / 166, Box: 1266-36, Item #: 75236, PD: B1266-SO36,. Pte. Date of Birth: 19/01/1893 (also used 23/01/1893) at Bothwell, Kent Co., ON. He was living in Thedford, the son of Abraham Burch of Thedford, ON. A farmer. 

Medical: Complexion: Medium /Fresh, Hair: Brown, Eyes: Blue, Height: 5’ 51/2”, Girth: 37”, Weight: 159#. Distinctive marks: 3” scar over right eye, 1 ½” Scar over left eye the result of being kicked by a horse. He had undergone an Appendicitis operation prior to his enlistment in the 149th Batt. His left arm is 3” shorter than his right arm.

He was reported Discharged in consequence of : On demobilization, in accordance with R.O. 1328 and 1420 of the MSA (Military Service Act). Proceeded to Discharge from 149th Batt 7/07/16. Medically unfit.

Previous military experience: Served in the 149th Batt. from 25 March 1916 to 8 Aug.1916. He enlisted at Watford, ON 25/03/1916.

Re-enlisted 26/10/1918, to the WOR. Transferring from the 149th to the 1st Western Ontario Regt. He was discharged 10/01/1919 due to demobilization.
