Private Walter E. Brown went overseas with the 186th. Battalion March 26th, 1917, and after training at Bramshott, proceeded to France June 15th, 1917, drafted to the 18th. Battalion. On August 21st, 1917, he received severe wounds in the ear, face, his right leg and also necessitating the loss of the left leg. After his hospital treatment, he was returned to Canada on January 24th, 1918, convalescing until September 21st, 1918.
Private Walter E. Brown received his honorable discharge September 21st, 1918, being unfit for further military service from his wounds received August 21st, 1917.
