Robert enlisted in the Army 2/10/1941. He served nine months in Canada before going overseas to England. He saw action in France, Belgium and Germany.

The CDN 31/12/45 reported that he returned to Canada aboard the S. S. Mauretania. Arrived in Halifax aboard the S.S. Mauritania docking 1/01/1946. Next of Kin: listed as Mrs. R. J. Brown, 5 Martin Ave., Chatham, ON.

The CDN 15/04/43 (P) reported that Robert was temporarily stationed at Dundurn, SK. He had recently been in Chatham on leave.

Arrived aboard the S.S. Mauritania from overseas docked at Halifax NS. 1 January, 1946.

Robert was discharged from the army 15/02/1946.

Robert passed away 10 September, 1995 and is buried at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham, ON.
