Private L.G. Brown transferred from the 91st. to the 186th. Battalion. He went overseas during the latter part of March, 1917. He arrived in France in June of 1917, and was attached to the 18th. Battalion CEF 25/08/1917. According to his military file, he was hospitalized because he was infected with Scabies 28/04/18 and returned to duty 15/05/18. After training at Bramshott Camp, he proceeded to France in June 1917. He was slightly gassed on August 18th, 1918. He was admitted to No.10 Canadian Stationary Hospital, and shortly transferred to Basingstoke Hospital, England. He was transferred to Witley Camp until he left for Canada January 11th, 1919.
He was officially discharged at London February 11th, 1919 due to demobilization.
Llewellyn was reported WIA by a German mustard gas shell and he was sent to a General Hospital 18/08/1918 suffering from conjunctivitis and vomiting. He recovered enough to be invalided to Canada aboard the S.S. Olympic 16 January, 1919. He was given a medical furlough in February 1919, but still required follow-up for his persistent cough. His eyesight had cleared.
