Born in 1914 at Chatham, ON. the son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy C. Brown of  Dover Centre, Chatham Twsp., Kent Co. ON. The brother of Herbert [J46971] and Robert Joseph. He was married to Helen and they lived at 116 Ursuline Ave., Chatham, ON at the time of his enlistment in 1942.

The CDN 15/04/43 (P) with brother Robert. At the time, he was stationed in Eastern Canada.

He was stationed at Shelbourne, NS. He was then transferred to Newfoundland for three years and while he was there, he was promoted to Petty Officer. Dean was discharged from the Navy 1/10/1945.
