Leo enlisted 20/02/1942 at Chatham, ON. the the age of 23 years. In May of 1942 Leo was training at RCAF Petewawa, ON. when he was given a weekend pass to visit his parents. L/Cpl. Leo had a two week furlough from Camp Petawawa to visit his parent in September of 1942. TT 10/09/42Leo was training at the Petawawa Military Camp in Ontario in February and August of 1943.
