Born in Corbut, ON. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis E. Brophey of Queen St. in Tilbury.  

Willis enlisted 14/02/1940 at Galt, ON at the age of 19.

In October of 1940, Willis was stationed at the Air Training School in Galt, ON. At this time, he was given a weekend furlough to visit his home. TT 24/10/40. He was training in Haggersville, ON. in November of 1941. TT 17/11/41, 29/11/41, TT 22/01/42. 

By March of 1942, he has risen to the rank of AC2, still at Toronto, which made it an easy trip back to Tilbury to see his family and friends. TT 12/03/42.  By June of 1943, Rovell was stationed at No.1 O.T.U. (Operational Training Unit) at Bagotville, PQ. He had been on a short leave to see his family. TT 24/06/43. Willis was reported on leave from RCAF-Guelph to spend a week-end with his parents. CDN 24/02/4  By August of 1943 Rovell was stationed at the Operational Training Unit at Bagotville, PQ. He had been on a short leave to see his family. 

Willis married Margaret Elizabeth (nee Ludwig) CDN 10/10/45

Willis passed away 10 July 1996.
