The CDN 17/03/43 reported in Glenwood, was the guest with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Broom.
The MS 1944 (date unknown) reported that John was at Camp Ipperwash for his training. John was reported in the MS 22/06/44 was on a week-end to visit with his parents. The MS 21/12/44 reported that Pte. Broom of Camp Ipperwash spent a weekend with his parents in Glenwood, Kent Co.
John would be transferred to Camp Petawawa after a two-week furlough with his parents. MS 9/03/45.
