Born in 1914 Son of John and Mary / Mabel Brooks. Born in North Buxton, Kent Co., ON.  Living in Chatham, ON.   The brother of Mrs. Hazel Watts of Detroit, Michigan. He had a brother Orville of Toronto and he had a step-mother Mrs. John Brooks of North Buxton.

He enlisted in October, 1942. He attended local school and received his secondary education at Merlin. Prior to his enlistment he was working in Chatham, ON.

Lawrence enlisted In October 1942 and he arrived overseas in August 1943.

Age: 30, KIA – Date of Death: 08/08/1944, in France.   

Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead, Grave/Memorial Reference: X. A. 5.

Cemetery: BRETTEVILLE-SUR-LAIZE CANADIAN WAR CEMETERY
