Born in Tilbury, ON on 13/07/1908. Married to Isabel G. (nee Benning) CDN 12/06/41, and was living in Chatham with his wife and son CDN 6/04/42 at 18 Kirk St. He enlisted 31/07/1942 at Windsor, ON. Ben trained at BTC No.12 in Chatham, ON and advanced training at Petawawa, ON. He was reported to have arrived safely overseas in January, 1943. TT 28/01/43, CFF-FD44, MGF.

The CDN 10/12/45 reported that he returned to Canada aboard the S. S. Mauretania. Next of Kin: Mrs. G. Bromley, 18 Kirk St., Chatham, ON. Arrived aboard the S.S. Mauritania from overseas docked at Halifax NS. 1 January, 1946
