Private John E Brien left Canada for England May 3rd, 1918 and was then transferred to C.E. Went to France with the CE on August 15th, 1918 and was sent to Arras and took part in the Cambrai drive after which he was sent to the Seine Canal where he was wounded in the heel and a slight touch of gas. John would arrive back in Canada in March of 1919 and be discharged from the army in London, ON. on 24/03/19 due to demobilization..
