Private Peter Brennen left Canada in March 1916 and remained at Bramshott, England for six months. During a medical examination, he was found unfit for active service and was transferred to the Red Cross Hospital at Taplow Bucks, where his brother was serving at the time. Three months later, he was transferred to Moore Barracks Hospital. Here, he was employed in the x-ray room until November, 1917. He was then transferred to the 13th Canadian Field Ambulance unit in France. He returned to England May 5th, 1919, and sailed for Canada May 26th on the Empress of Britain.
Discharged at London June 6th, 1919 due to demobilization.
