Regimental number: 189320. Reference: RG150, Accession 1992-93/166, Box 1026 – 53, Item: 61781, PDF –B1026-SO53. Born 27/02/1894, at Prairie Siding, Raleigh Twsp., Kent Co., ON. The son of Joseph Braybrook, living at 55 Fairmont Ave. Hamilton, later moved to 65 Central Ave. Hamilton, ON. Clarence was a single farmer living at his fathers home.

Age: 21 years 8 Mo., Height: 5’ 2 ½” , Girth: 36”, Complexion: Fair, Eyes: Blue, Hair: Brown. He had a scar on posten right near scalp, Weight: 140#.  Reported “Fit”. 

 Attestation: 11/11/1915 at Chatham, ON. to  91st Bn. transferred to186th Bn.

Embarked at Halifax S.S. Lapland 15/03/17 arrived Liverpool 7/04/17. Transferred to 4th Reserve Batt. 20/04/17.

After training he went to France with the 18th Bn. At one point he had a GSW to his Lefr hand and was treated by the 11th C. F. Ambulance 13/011//18. He was cleared at 58 C.C. Station 14/11/18 and sent onto #13 General Hospital, Bouloyne. He was recovering from the GSW and returned to duty. He reported ill, likely from Nephritis (An inflammation of the kidneys – a lack of treatment can lead to kidney failure and death).  Dangerously ill Clarence was transferred to No.3 General Hospital 24/01/18 and he died of disease 31/01/18 

Died of Disease (Nephritis – Inflammation of the Kidney) 31/01/1918.

Pte. Braybrook is buried Boulogne Eastern Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France.
