The Tilbury Times 5/02/42 included a letter to Mrs. Daigneau from Cpl. Bourdeau, 7th Provost Corp. 5/01/42 as follows:
Dear Mrs. Daigneau:
Just a few lines to let you know how much I like the parcel you sent me. I want to thank you all. It was swell of you to remember me.
You were saying that you didn’t know I was in the Army. I don’t suppose you would as I was working in Toronto when I joined up at the time the war broke out.
As for things over here right now it is pretty slow. But everything will be alright in the end. I have been here for two years now and have only met two of the Tilbury boys and they were both OK
Well there isn’t much more I can say right now so I will close, but before I do I want to thank you again. Let me know if you got this letter, will you.
