Bonnett, David Gordon

 

Dave joined the Canadian Technical Training Corps as a boy soldier in August of 1944. When he turned 18, he transferred to the Royal Canadian Engineers in the Canadian army Pacific Division just prior to the VJ Day. Dave was discharged from the Army in October of 1945.

He was a member of the Church of the Advent Men’s Club, Royal Canadian Legion Br. 28 in Chatham, and the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians & Technologists. David spent 36 years at the International Harvester (Navistar) when he retired. He then worked as a Court Services Officer for 15 years.

David passed away 19/07/2013 at London, ON. The Interment was at Trinity Anglican Cemetery. CDN-Obit 22/07/13.

One year (R) Battalion Kent Regiment. Also Commanding Officer C.V.S. Army Cadets.

In service one year and eight months as an engineer.
