Pte. Bone served four years with the Devon Royal Garrison Artillery, Plymouth, England.
He enlisted with the 1st Contingent training at Valcartier but was rejected two months later being below standard.
He was also rejected from the 33rd battalion and the 71st battalion as being below standard.
He re-enlisted with the 186th battallion going overseas the latter part of Mar. 1917.
After training in England he crossed to France Aug. 26, 1917 transferring to the 18th battallion and went through his first engagement Nov. 5.
On the Some, Apr. 4, 1918 he received severe wounds in the head and body and died a short time later in No. 3 Canadian Stationary Hospital.
