The WN 30/12/43 reported that Al, his wife, and two sons were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cartier.

In June of 1943, the WN 10/06/43 reported that he was stationed in Windsor when he had a weekend pass to visit his wife and sons.

The Wallaceburg News reported that Albert was serving with No.1 RCASC and was stationed in England. He was welcomed home by a special welcoming committee chaired by Ted Carter of the Canadian Legion and the war Services committee of the Dominion Glass Company. WN 25/01/46
