Born 6/08/1912 at Dresden, ON. The daughter of Myron S. and Catherine Blackburn of Dresden, ON., sister of Cpl. Robert Archibald KIA 6/10/43. 

Margaret enlisted in the RCAF(W) 5/12/42 and served at Brantford and S.F.T.S. Haggersville, ON.  The CDN 23/03/43 reported that AW 2 Blackburn was a parachute rigger in the RCAF(WD) at Number 2 Composite Training school, Toronto and had graduated from there.  The DT 29/04/43 reported Margaret was still stationed at RCAF-Brantford when she was home on an Easter leave.   

DN12/04/44: “stationed at Brantford, spent the weekend at her home in Dresden.”

Discharged December 18th, 1944.

After the war she married Mr. J. B. McRea and in 1980 was living in Coquitlam, BC.

Margaret Ruth McRea passed away 13 March, 2001.
