Private A.J. Blackburn left Chatham for overseas March 22nd, 1917, with the 186th. Battalion, and was stationed at Bramshott Camp. He crossed to France June 17th, 1917, transferring to the 18th. Battalion. During the attack at Passchendale Private Blackburn was wounded in the right arm and right leg, and admitted to Hospital at Leporte, and later to the Base Hospital.
