Black, Donald

 

In July of 1942, Donald was stationed at RCAF Manning Pool in Toronto. At this time, he was given a couple of weeks leave. He and his wife, as well as their their two children, Donald Jr. and Ann, were guests of Mrs. J. A. Black of Adelaide St., Chatham CDN 3/07/42 

Don was reported to have returned to RCAF-Trenton after visiting his brother and his wife. CDN 6/06/44.

The CDN 2/08/44 reported that Donald, Mrs. Black, and the two children, had arrived from RCAF-Trenton to spend a couple of weeks with Mrs. J. A. Black of Adelaide St., Chatham.

He served for four years as a mechanic on the planes at Trenton and one year in Brandon, Manitoba.

Promoted to Pilot Officer.

Discharged February 14th 1946.
