The son of Mr. Bert and Mrs. Jemina Jane (nee Doan) Booth of Nelson St., Wallaceburg. He was stationed in Halifax, NS. The brother of Captaian Marvin serving in the RCAMC and Gordon, who was a bomber pilot. He had three sisters named Hazel (Starks), Midred (Dean) and Gertrude (Loudon).
The Wallaceburg News 27/08/42 reported that Sub-Lieut Booth had been serving with the Royal Navy for a year while aboard HMS Emerald. He was expected to arrive in Wallaceburg to spend his leave.
The WN 27/05/43 reported that promoted Lieutanant Booth, stationed in Toronto was home with his wife visiting his family. He had been serving in the Indian Ocean against the Japanese and would be serving out of Halifax after this furlough. His two brothers were serving in England.
