Private Bethune D. Binga acted as recruiting officer for No.2 Construction Battalion in Western Ontario, and was promoted to Corporal December 11th, 1916, retaining his rank in France. The battalion left Truro, N.S. for overseas March 28th, 1917, proceeding to France May 16th, 1917. He entered Hospital November 30th, 1917, due to sickness ans transferred to No.8 General Hospital march 1st, 1918 thence to 115th. General Hospital, Taplow Bucks, England. He was invalided to Canada June 1st, 1918, arriving at Halifax June 14th.
Discharged January 15th, 1919.
