Pte. Biddell was from Chatham, ON. Pte. Biddell and Pte. R. ‘Rome’ Trahan, also from Chatham, were in the same platoon when the RCR was “making up for lost time held a smoker in Italy”. The party was held in the Apennine mountains and included a supper, an Italian orchestra, and a concert by platoon artist. CDN 20/09/44
