Unit # Victoria Rifles of Canada, “C”-Coy, 1st Btn.

Reported to be stationed at Niagara Camp. The WN (date unknown), reported that L/Cpl. Bennett was stationed at Welland.

He stayed with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Bennett of Charlemont, on a weekend leave at least three times during his time in training.  

The WN 25/03/43 reported Pte Bennett of Camp Ipperwash was home on a weekend leave. The WN 7/01/43 reported that Pte. Bennett was stationed at Camp Petawawa when he was on leave for the holiday. For a holiday gift, he was given a pen and pencil set from the Free Methodist Sunday School.  The WN 23/09/43 reported that Victor then stationed at Niagara-on-the-Lake was on a weekend leave with his parents. 

The CDN 20/06/45 reported that Victor had returned from the war.
