Private Alfred Ernest Benn trained in London and Toronto with the Cycle Corps, leaving for overseas May 13th, 1915. He was stationed at Chisledon Camp, was transferred to shoreham Camp July 19th, and later to Seaford where he was transferred to the Machine Gun Corps, proceeding to France January 31st, 1916, with the 4th. Canadian M.G.C.
