Rae was born in Medicine Hat AL, living in Wheatley and was on the staff of the Royal Bank in Aylmer, ON. Rae reported that he joined the RCAF and expected to be called up soon. It would appear he was not selected.  

Rae was living in Wheatley when he enlisted in the Kent Regt. in Chatham, ON. It was reported that Rae was on leave from Niagara-on-the-Lake in March of 1942. CDN 11/03/42

Rae was living in Wheatley in 1964.

He died on 25/07/2010 in Chatham at the age of 84 years.
