Canadian Fusillers. The son Mrs. Calice Belanger at Wyoming, he also had a brother in Wallaceburg Stationed at Vernon, BC. Edgar was reported serving in Esquimalt, BC. with the Canadian Fusillers when he was home on a leave. WN 20/08/42 Edgar was reported home on on a two months compassionate leave with his mother. WN 15/04/43
The Wallaceburg News reported that Pte. Belanger had transferred to the 1st Bn. of the Black Watch (RHR) for service overseas. WN-date unknown.
