The son of Mr. B. L. Bedford (K.C.) and Mrs. Bedford of William St. North, Chatham, ON. He was visiting his parents with his wife Eve (nee Homuth) of Wingham and two children before he had to return to Wighham. CDN 23/04/42.

The CDN 19/08/44(P) reported that he had been in active service since the summer of 1941. His parents had received information that Howard was in France.
