Private Roy Craig Bedell transferred from the 91st. to the 186th. Battalion, embarking for overseas in March 1917. after training at Bramshott Camp he crossed to France in September 1917, transferring to the 18th. Battalion. He served in the trenches until the winter months, during which time he was with the Engineers, working at his trade. In March he was returned to the 18th, as Stretcher Bearer.
