Born 21/08/1902, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Bedell. A resident of Dresden.  The husband of Gertrude (nee Reek). Widower of Ada Lavina Cudmore.

He enlisted in the army 13/11/1939.

The CDN 26/06/45 reported that he was aboard a ‘hospital ship’ expected to dock on or about 29 June, 1945.

Charles passed away at the age of 77 years.

Reported to have received the C.V.S.M. with Bar, Defence of Britain Medal and France & Germany Star. Information from D. Holt great nephew.
