Resident Fletcher

From Fletcher, ON. enlisted with the RCAF 14 November, 1942.

The CDN 3/09/1941 married Flossie Verna (nee Kirby).  Archie was stationed at the Toronto Manning Pool to begin his RCAF training.  He was on a weekend leave in Chatham. 

The CDN 23/03/43 (Merlin) reported that Archie left last week for Lachine, PQ. to commence his duties in the RCAF.  The CDN 28/10/43 reported that LAC Ball was stationed at RCAF St. Catharines was on a week-end leave at his home in Fletcher. CDN 12/01/44 – MS13/01/44.  

He was on a week-end leave in Chatham.  CDN 12/01/44 The CDN 12/10/44 reported that Archie and his wife had a baby son at the General Hospital in Chatham and received congratulations from their friends.   The Merlin Standard 27/04/44 reported that Archie was home for a couple of days. He had been transferred from Calgary, AB. to Trenton, ON. The MS reported that was on a week-end  in the village after arriving at  RCAF-Trenton.
