Sapper William John Ernest Bachus arrived in England with the Cyclists May 6th, 1916, proceeding to Belgium the first week in August. He received accidental injuries in December 1916, returning to England for hospital treatment. He re-joined his unit in France in May 1917 where he served as a motorcycle dispatch rider until he sailed for home in June 1919.
Discharged at Toronto June 9th, 1919.
Entered the Hospital at London November 10th for treatment on Rt Hernia developed during service in army.
