Born 22/09/1917, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Everitt and Nellie Atkinson of Port Alma, Tilbury East Twsp., Kent Co., ON.  The brother of George, F/O Arthur J. and Gordon. The husband of Helen Rae, the father of Larry G. and Linda Rae.

He  enlisted in the army at London, ON. 13//02/43.   He was stationed at BTC 12 in Chatham, ON. In March of 1943. He transferred to the RCR. He was overseas on active service in Italy.

Helen passed away in 1965 and Gordon re-married Marg. 

Gordon passed away 29 June, 1993 and is buried at Erie Cemetery, Wheatley.
