18/07/15 – Embarked for France. 16/05/16 – No. 6 Gen. Hosp. – Rouen – Transfer to England. 9/05/16  Admitted to D. of Can. Hosp. . Disc: 30/06/16. 6/10/16 – to France – Shorncliffe 25/10/16 – Taken On Strength – 18/01/17 to 22/08/17.  

“Left foot stuck by the wheel of a motorlorrie – Foot painful under and swollen – x-ray shews a probable fracture of middle cuneiform of foot. Persistent, swelling over this region.” – ARRAS, FRANCE. Major Hill had Arthur admitted – Transferred to Canadian Convalescent Hosp. – Hoodcote park – Epson. 6 May 1916 – Trans to Rouon to 6th Gen. Hosp. 2/05/16. Transfer to England – arrived at Hospital 3/05/16. Scar on Appendix – good result 10/05/16 – Appendicitis in April 1916 after 11 months in France – finally closed. 16 May had a good scar 16/06/16. DISCHARGED.

7TH F. A. then Aire 2nd C.C.C.S. 2 weeks the after separation to Taplow for five weeks. Condition Good.

11/05/16 – “Urinalysis”. He was needed an Appendectomy: Arv. France 38/04/16. 16/06/16 for Foot to be attended 8/08/17 to 17/08/17, went well. His last visit to a hospital 31/08/17 – 26/09/17 for VGD.

App. / Bombardier – 9/04/19 Cpl. at Shortcliffe – Appendicitis. “Appendicitis in April 1916 after 11 months in France – finally closed. 16 May had a good scar 16/06/16.

Arthur was reported returned to Canada for other duties. BNT-6/06/45.
