Private Robert Orron Askin trained in London and Toronto with the Cyclists, arriving at Liverpool, England, May 30th, 1916. He proceeded to France January 5th, 1918, received gun-shot wounds in the left arm January 30th, 1918, returning to England February 11th. After five months hospital treatment he was sent to the 1st. C.C.D. Shorncliffe, returning to Seaford where he was stationed until the Armistice was signed.
Private Robert Orron received his discharge January 11th, 1919, being medically unfit for further military service and due to demobilization.
