Ash, Winnifred Mary

 

The daughter of  Mr. and Mrs. A. Ash of Forest St., Chatham. The CDN Aug. 1944, reported Winifred arrived in Chatham to spend two weeks furlough at her parents. She was stationed at RCAF-Galt.

Previous Military Experience… None

History After Enlistment… Received basic training at Galt. Sent to Deep Brook for a four week’s course. Posted back to Galt as part of Ship’s Company until going overseas in October 1944.

Date of Discharge… 1946

The CDN 31/10/44(P), reported that Twenty-one year old WREN Ash was serving overseas.
