Born in Chatham Twsp. the son of Elmer and Olive (nee Williston). He attended the Chatham Vocational School before enlistment. Husband of Delma (nee Couture); father of Margaret, Ruth. Wes served oversea with the RCASC seeing action in Italy and Belgium. After the war he farmed in Chatham Twsp. as well worked 30 years at the Ontario Steel Plant (Rockwell) in Chatham. He passed away 17 April, 2010 in Chatham, ON. and was interned at the Arnold Cemetery.
