Born in Summerside, NB., the son of Charles and Ethel (Donald) Armstrong, brother of David.

He served overseas for five and a half years.  The Wallaceburg News reported that Roger transferred to the RCNVR. He held the rank of Stoc. 2, V78760 and was stationed at Stadacona I., Halifax, NS. 

The husband of Lil (nee O’Rafferty-McDonald), their children were Myrnah, Faye (Mitchel), Mitchel, Norman Rudman, Joy (Fields) and Kim (Cameron).

W. passed away 17/05/2006 in Blenheim, ON. at the age of 87 years.
