Born in Mersea Twsp., Kent Co., ON. Next of Kin – Mr. John Alderton of Bothwell, ON.

John served four and a half years overseas. Reported returning from overseas aboard the Ile de France. CDN 12/07/45.

After the war he returned to Blenheim and worked as a maintenance mechanic at the Southwestern Regional Centre at Dealtown. Married to Gladys M. (nee Goodison) and they had four children; Mary Ellen (Lockyer), Lloyd, Linda (Legue), Ronald and James.

John passed away 30 December, 1994 at Parkwood Hospital for Veterans in London, ON. 30 December, 1995. A Legion memorial service was conducted by Legion Pardre Rev. William Terris officiating. Internment was at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim, ON. BNT 4/01/1995.
