Son of Mr. & Mrs. James (Chappy) Adkin. Father was a well known Dresden baseball player.

The Wallaceburg News reported that Gerald was on ‘active sesvice’ at HMCS Buxton, NS.

After discharge, Gerald Adkin moved to Wallaceburg, where he lived until his death in 1978. School-Days nickname “Peewee”.

Served on H.M.C.S. Cornwallis, Buxton, Scotian, Perigrine, Llewellyn, Portgae and Antigonish.

Discharged January 1946.
