Born in 1923. The son of Mr. Roy and Marie (nee Hunter) Abrams of 757 James St., Wallaceburg.

Dean married Catherine Anna (nee Finley) on August 17, 1942. They had two daughters, Anne Marie (Janssens) and Cathie Lynn (Masalsley). The WN 10/09/42 reported that Dean had completed his basic training and would be leaving for Halifax along with Maurice DeVriese and Paul Reid.  

Dean Abrams was part of the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve.

The WN 11/01/45 reported that AB. Abrams had been serving on HMCS Kenora and saw action on D-Day was on a 34-day leave at his parents home along with his wife.

He was reported to be returned from overseas service attended a Wallaceburg-Kinsmen ‘Welcome Home’ dinner CDN. 24/01/45.

Dean passed away 13 June, 2002 at the age of 78 years. Internment at Riverview Cemetery – Wallaceburg, ON.
