The Son of Mrs. O. Abrams of 57 University Avenue, Wallaceburg.  

Alan enlisted at Moose Jaw, SASK. He went overseas with the 1st Canadian Division in 1939. He served with the Provost Corp., Artillery, Armoured, and Reconnaisance Corp, and back with the Provost Corp. 

He served in the Italian campaign, in France and in Belgium. 

While in England, he married and had a son named Anthony.  They came to Canada in April of 1945 and were living in Brigden, ON with his aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bishop. 

Cpl. Abrams was reported to be visiting his mother in the WN 21/06/45. He was also going to visit Chatham and Detroit while on a 30 day leave. He expected to be discharged when he reported to London upon his return.
