The eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Anderson, living at 52 Dufferin Ave., Chatham, ON. 

Joseph enlisted in July 1940 with the First Kent Regiment. Married, his wife was living at 107 Emma St., Chatham. CDN 12/06/43 (P).

Served with the Kent Regiment from 1933 to 1936.

March 1943. Served in the Mediterranean Theatre of War- Africa, and Italy with the R.C.R. Then transferred to the European Theatre in Germany with the F.D.S. 1st. Medical Unit. Received the Campaign ribbons 1939 to 1945 Star, and the France & Germany Star C.V.S.

Discharged September 19th, 1945.
